Happy New Year... almost!
I feel terrible for not keeping up with my blogging for any of you who happen to get curious as to what might be happening in the life of Weston. A quick recap of the last few months...
November started off with a wonderful concert of Carmina Burana with the Oklahoma City Phil with a dear colleague I hadnt seen since my first summer in Santa Fe! I then headed off to NYC for some auditions and to get new headshots (see website) :-) and then of course Houston for Thanksgiving with the family.
December included another trip to NYC for more auditions and headshot touchups, re-shoots and the like and then back to Dallas to work on Boheme. I am very much looking forward to my debut with The Dallas Opera in February as Schaunard in La Boheme. To date I am a Bohemian virgin! I'm not quite sure how that happened over the years...but I have yet to cross paths with Marcello or Schaunard...so, I figure I might as well prepare them both! ...it just makes for a busy December/January!
As of December 29, I am a proud owner of an i-limb! (see pic at top) This is not the newest Apple product, but rather a bionic hand! VERY VERY cool! Without the glove it could very easily pass for the Terminator's hand - its seriously that cool looking! Anyway...this is a myo-electric hand that has 5 separate motors so that each finger is allowed to move. This is HUGE! ...and is going to take some getting used to! So, yeah...I have plenty on my plate.
I hope that you all had a wonderful 2008 and that 2009 brings even more success and happiness to you all!
